People killed by super-bugs each year
FluoretiQ is developing technology to enable identification of harmful bacteria in minutes rather than days
Our technology is built on advances in glycan chemistry and quantum optics, packaged in an easy to use and scalable offering.
Bacteria is identified by proprietary nano-material labels which are then identified using an advanced optical measurement system, in a simple 3 step process.
Fluorescent Carbon Dots (FCDs) are man-made nanomaterials that can be modified to selectively attach to bacteria
Sample dosed with FCD labels
Labelled bacteria separated from remaining sample

QPS is an intelligent photon counting fluorimeter designed to work specifically with the FCDs to minimise false positives
Labelled bacteria detected and quantified by QPS
